All of you optimist may want to shy away from this one because It's going to get ugly real quick. As I said last night on the train wreck that was MCM radio, if you don't want to read my negative comments do not click through the jump.
-This coaching staff is dumb as hell, enough said. Earlier today it came out that Munchak is completely fine with the Griffin/Rojo combination, in fact, he prefers it. When the safety that you just signed to a big contract is repeatedly getting burned on every play it is time to thinking about making a change and admitting that you are wrong. That is something that this staff (regardless of who is head coach) has always been unable to do and frankly they are making me sick with it. From decisions on the offensive line, CJ, and the Swiss cheese that has become our defense, they continue to make horrible, horrible decisions and it is killing this team. What do you think the moral is like inside the locker room today?
-This team lacks any leadership on any level, be it on offense or defense. You would think that guys like Will Witherspoon, Kamerion Wimbley, Jake Locker, Matt Hasselbeck, CJ, Washington or ANYONE would step up to the challenge and be the voice of reason. You all wanted to know why my faith and love for this team has dwindled? I'm listing the reasons as we speak because I have seen this team reacting this way since training camp and it is infuriating! At the time I thought, "Oh well, it's just camp, they will turn it on and ramp it up when it comes game time." Wrong, wrong, wrong... These guys don't even act like they want to be out on the field, they act like a bunch of slugs when making their way out on to the practice field. They are playing unemotional and uninspired football and that is on the coaching staff just as much as it is on the players.
-This team is working as many different parts instead of one unit, there are players on this team that care more about what they are going to do after the game, what their individual stats are, and some who are too busy pointing the finger at others to for this team gel in any shape, form, or fashion. There is zero accountability for anything that is going wrong, when have you seen Roos or Stewart come out and say, "Sorry guys. That one was on us." When have you seen CJ say anything about I don't know how about "My attitude and performance is not helping this team win football games, oh, and hey I'm not quite the running back that I used to be so let's spread the rock around a bit." Even the great and wonderful Jake Locker has yet to come out, step up, and claim the role as leader. Everyone puts in their time, goes home, and waits for the next massacre to unfold. Someone has got to step up and claim responsibility for the way this team has been playing and at least try to fix it because the coaching staff seems either unwilling or unable to do so.
The days of McNair, George, and Wycheck are over and the 2012 Titans are going to have to find someone to look to and brave this storm, if they don't they will be staring a sub .500 season in the face.....then what will we do?
