Titans Center Eugene Amano Out for the Year

Jim Wyatt just announced on Twitter that Eugene Amano is going to miss the entire season with a torn tricep muscle. So now the battle for the starting center shifts to Kevin Matthews and Fernando Velasco. Matthews is still out with concussion symptoms, so Velasco has seen the bulk of the work there. I expect him to ultimately win the job.

The Titans will also have to find another center because they now have zero depth on the offensive line. They have worked out a lot of interior offensive lineman this offseason, so they should be familiar with what's out there.

This also pretty much guarantees that Leroy Harris will your starting right guard. He was going to be pushed by Velasco before Amano went down, but the Titans really don't have another guy on the roster that is ready to step up and beat Harris out.

There will not be any celebration over an injury in this thread. Just letting you know that before it even starts.
