The Titans practice at LP Field today was cut short due to the rain. Today was my first time to see the new video boards out there, and they are awesome. The screen is the size of the whole board now, and they are HD. You will not be disappointed if you make it over there.
Some bullet point observations from today's session after the jump.
- Taylor Thompson got a lot of work today with Jared Cook being absent for O.J. Murdock's funeral. You can definitely see what they saw when they drafted Thompson. He is a big dude with good hands. He did catch the wrath of Chris Palmer one time when he lined up wrong during a no huddle session.
- Derrick Morgan was running with the first team some and the second team some today. He got pressure on Matt Hasselbeck on the third play of the day.
- Hasselbeck started with first team, but he and Jake Locker rotated from there. Both guys looked really good today. The one thing that is so impressive about Locker is his ability to throw on the run. He had a play where he was scrambling to his right in the red zone and threw a bullet across his body to Craig Stevens.
- Today was Kendall Wright's full action on the field. It was a pretty quiet day for him except for when he had a mis-read on a play in the end zone. It was not really surprising to see that though considering it was his first time out. They went on and on about how much of a student of the game he was in OTAs. I expect him to be just fine.
