Has there ever been an article written on how well Calvin Johnson or Andre Johnson block? While I have not done extensive research on the subject, by guess is that the answer is no. Why is that? Well it is because when a guy can catch 100 balls for 1,200 yards no one really cares if he can block.

Jim Wyatt wrote a full article about how Wright is coming along as a blocker. Here is the headline:

Tennessee Titans' Kendall Wright works on blocking

My first response to that headline was, "Why?"

It seems that we cannot get past the Jeff Fisher-era of Titans football where receivers were given roster spots because they were good blockers. Don't believe me? See Gage, Justin.

Maybe blocking for a wide receiver is more important than I think, but it seems to me that Wright's time in practice would be much better spent working on learning the playbook and running routes.
