Kerry Wood retired today. It was announced this morning that he had come to that decision, but that he wanted to make one final appearance because he didn't want to go out on a bad performance. He was able to get in the game today and strikeout the only hitter he faced. Wood also struck out the first hitter he faced as a big league pitcher.

Watching him walk off the field, get a standing ovation from the Wrigley faithful and hug his son was a really cool moment. I will admit that I got a lump in my throat watching all of that play out.

I still get really emotional watching the Music City Miracle. Not as much if they are playing the TV audio, but anytime I hear the whole Mike Keith call it gets me.

That brings us to tonight's topic- What sports moment made you tear up a little bit?
