Coty Sensabaugh becomes the first member of the Tennessee Titans 2012 draft class to be signed. Accoring to Jim Wyatt (h/t sami), Sensabugh's deal is worth about $2.5 million total. Here is how the contract breaks down according to Wyatt:
Sensabaugh will earn base salaries of $390,000 in 2012, $480,000 (in ’13), $570,000 (in ‘14) and $660,000 (in ’15).It is surprising to me that it has taken this long for the Titans to start signing their picks. These negotiations are a lot less complicated under the new CBA. There are even a couple of teams that already have their whole classes signed.
Sensabaugh is going to be a fun guy to watch. He is raw because he didn't get a whole lot of playing time at Clemson, but he can fly. The battle for the nickel corner will be one of the more interesting battles in camp. It is one of the few positions that is wide open right now.
