With the 31st pick of the 2012 Music City Miracles Mock Draft, the New England Patriots (represented by z24lax) select:

Kendall Reyes, DT, University of Connecticut

The improvement of the d line continues, after dropping a late round pick on fat Albert and subsequently releasing him, the pats need more depth on interior of the d line as well as on the edge and the 300 lb Reyes should help in the middle. As one of the faster and stronger DTs at the combine he should be able to help with versatility in the ever changing bill belicheck defense. It would've been interesting had Kendall wright fallen to this spot as the only weakness for the pats passing game is on the outside with no speed at receiver, wright might've helped that, but with him off the board continuing to shore up the d-line was an easy decision.
