2012 NFL Mock Draft: Stephon Gilmore to the Titans Gaining Steam

It seems that the consensus out there since the Tennessee Titans signed Kamerion Wimbley is that they no longer need a pass rusher at #20. Before that signing, there was hardly a mock out there that let Nick Perry or Whitney Mercilus get past the Titans.

Now it seems that the focus has shifted to corner. The latest SB Nation mock draft has the Titans taking Stephon Gilmore.

I like Gilmore, and would no by no means be disappointed if that is who the Titans decide to take, but I think they will still take a pass rusher at 20 if there is a guy they really like.

The Titans lost Cortland Finnegan in free agency, leaving a void in their secondary. Adding Gilmore gives them another first-tier starter who should eventually fill in quite nicely. Offensive line is another option here, but Mike Munchak has done well turning later round picks into quality starters.
