There has still not been official confirmation from the Tennessee Titans, but Chris Mortensen is reporting that the Mike Munchak will meet with Peyton Manning at an undisclosed location within the next few days. John McClain suggested on Twitter that the meeting could take place at Bud Adams's office in Houston. That would seem to make sense because Bud is going to want to be in on this meeting, especially considering that Munchak and the front office had said prior they were not interested in Manning. Adams will want to make sure the proper amount of recruiting goes on.
Paul Kuharsky wrote an excellent article about this being the biggest moment in Munch's short coaching career. PK points out that Munchak did a nice job of selling Matt Hasselbeck on the job here. Can he do the same with Peyton?
The other thing that Kuharsky points out that I had not thought about is that the Manning family is familiar with Chris Palmer because Palmer was Eli Manning's quarterback coach in New York. It would seem that one of the biggest requirements for Peyton would be an offensive coordinator he is comfortable working with, and Palmer might fit that bill because of the familiarity.
