Tennessee Titans Have $28 Million in Salary Cap Space

Pro Football Talk has listed the salary cap space that every NFL team has heading into the 2012 NFL free agency period. The Titans have $28.1 million in space according to the report. That is the 9th most in the NFL.

Ruston Webster said in his introductory press conference that the Titans were close to $30 million under the cap. This report just confirms that number.

This means that there is plenty of room for the Titans to make a splash in free agency. It seems like this number would be plenty enough for them to sign both Mario Williams and a free agent offensive guard that would be an upgrade. That would really open up the possibilities for what the Titans could do with the 20th pick.

While I still don't expect the Titans to make a splash on the first day of free agency, this confirms that the Titans have plenty of money to work with if they want to throw it at a high profile guy.
