David Boclair talks to the Titans pass rush coach Keith Millard. Millard took a comparatively unconventional road to coaching in the NFL, based largely on the advice of Bill Walsh. The Titans are hoping his experience as one of the NFL's premier pass rushing DTs and exuberant personality can add some juice to our woefully under-performing pass rush.
Mocking The Draft has some good notes on the defensive line group's performances at the Combine. This link goes to half of the group, and the other is linked to it early in the post. I'm including this one because it mentions Nick Perry, who I'm liking a lot more as a DE after he weighed in at 271 lbs and ran like the wind.
Matt Bowen names 5 prospects fans should do their homework on, including possible Titans targets DE Whitney Mercilus, DT Dontari Poe and CB Dwight Bentley.
Greg Gabriel takes a look the merits of opinions on players falling and rising at the Combine.
Paul K takes a look at the possibility of legendary curmudgeon Bill Polian, who regularly expressed his disdain for the press, joining the NFL media.
PFT has the Titans'' "to-do" list for the next few months.
The Cowboys may also be in the mix to sign Cortland Finnegan when free agency begins on March 13th.
Your daily Casey Hayward update: while Hayward failed to impress with his 40 time (I figured that would be the case), he absolutely crushed it in the 20 and 60-yard shuttle drills and threw up an impressive 19 reps on the bench press. Those measurable are right in line with my projection for Hayward to be a very good nickel/outside zone CB similar to ATV (who posted a very similar 60-yard shuttle time back in 2010).
