Mgrex also provided us with audio from new Titans' GM Ruston Webster's time at the podium. You can download and listen to that here. The most interesting thing that came from Webster's time talking to the media was the fact that he said if he were going to overpay for any position it would be a pass rusher.
Now that still does not mean that they are going to go swimming in the Mario Williams waters, but it might mean they could be in the mix for a Cliff Avril or Robert Mathis. It is probably a little more likely that it would be Mathis because there is still the chance that the Lions will franchise Avril.
We have talked a lot about Mathis. I think that he would be an instant upgrade who probably has 2-3 years of production left. That sounds like the perfect guy for the Titans who really might be one to two players away from being a legitimate contender.
