2012 NFL Free Agency: Titans Wishlist #2 Mike Wallace

I know some of you are going to rush to the comments to complain about this before you even read the post, but if you really stop and think about it, adding Mike Wallace makes a lot of sense. SuperHorn says the Titans need a guy to stretch the field. There is no doubt Wallace can do that. In the last two seasons he has 132 catches for 2,450 yards and 18 touchdowns. That is an average of 18.6 yards per catch.

Under the new CBA, a restricted free agent can only be tendered at a first round pick instead of a first and third under the old CBA. The Steelers would be able to match any offer that Wallace gets from another team, so there is no doubt it would be expensive to get him away from Pittsburgh.

In anticipation of the arguments:

But he is going to cost a first round pick!!!!

Ask yourself this question, would you rather have a guy like Kendall Wright who might be the next Mike Wallace, or would you rather have the Mike Wallace?

But he is going to cost a lot of money!!!!

Everyone always rips the Titans for not spending money. Why would they not spend money on a guy that is exactly what they need to maximize the strengths of their young quarterback?

But what about the offensive line?!?!?!?!

They are good at pass blocking, and if they have Wallace, Kenny Britt and Nate Washington, the Titans won't ever need to run the ball.
