While the popular line of thinking is that if Jerry Gray leaves for Texas Tech it makes it easier for the Titans to dump Munchak, but Paul K makes a good point to the contrary:
Mike Munchak recently fired offensive coordinator Chris Palmer. The head coach's job security is in question, but if Munchak keeps his job, a new defensive coordinator could be part of the changes the Titans make.
PFF has its Re-Focused up for our loss to the Colts, and it's full of solid tidbits, including this shocker:
- As a unit the Titans' offensive line allowed just one hit on quarterback Jake Locker.
Lavelle Hawkins has had a brutally frustrating season, and it didn't get any easier for him on Sunday when he was informed at the last second that he'd be inactive for the 9th time this season and Michael Preston would be active. That's tough for a guy who had 47 catches last season and signed a 3-year contract in the offseason.
Taylor Thompson will be getting his shot at more playing time in the offense now that Jared Cook is on the IR, but Tim Shaw points out that the rookie project has already made himself invaluable on special teams.
With Cook out and Brandon Barden about to be activated, the Titans added former Eagles and Colts TE, and Michigan grad, Martell Webb to the practice squad.
Welp, it's about time to start getting more familiar with this...
I could read about the Texans' horrid showing in what Andre Johnson called ‘The most important game in Texans history' (side note: hasn't that been said like 8 times now over the past few years? Do they not realize how pathetic that sounds???) all damned day.
