The folks over at Mocking the Draft have put out a new mock draft today, and they have the Titans taking Matt Elam, S, Florida with the 15th pick (where they would be selecting if the season ended today). It is entirely too early to be looking at mock drafts right now, I understand that, but there really isn't that much else going on right now.
Elam makes sense for the Titans because safety is clearly a position they are going to be looking to upgrade. Safety is probably tied for the second biggest need on this team with offensive guard and behind only pass rusher. The problem with picking in the middle of the first round is that it is hard to find that dynamic pass rusher (Jevon Kearse isn't walking through that door).
As far as guard goes, Deuce Lutui now has a 6 game audition. If the Mike Munchak and Bruce Matthews think he is good enough to be a quality starter, then guard moves down the list of needs. If he isn't, Chance Warmack will be very, very tempting.
