On the Titans Playoff Chances and Scenarios

They spent a few minutes on The Midday 180 here today talking about the Titans playoff chances. At this point, there is really no reason to think that the Titans are going to make a run and make the playoffs, but they are not mathematically eliminated at this point, so there is a chance. I am sure someone will start doing a "Who to Root For" post soon, but the bottom line is that the Titans cannot afford to lose more than one game the rest of the way.

Sure, there is a chance that 9-7 will get them in, but you can never count on that- just ask the 2011 Titans. That means they need to get to 10-6 to be basically assured a spot. The only thing this team needs to be worried about at this point is winning every game the rest of the way.

Will they do that? Probably not, but as Yogi Berra once said, "It ain't over until it's over."
