The Titans played 76 snaps on defense against the Colts. Jason McCourty was the only player to be in on all 76. Alterraun Verner played 75. Michael Griffin also played 75. He missed one play after laying on the field like a soccer player. In fairness to Griffin, he did have his best game of the season yesterday with the interception and blocked field goal.
Jordan Babineaux was able to stay out of the dog house yesterday and be on the field for 74 plays.
Colin McCarthy gutted it out yesterday for 73 plays. You can tell that he is still really battling the sore ankle, but he hardly comes off the field. I love watching that guy play.
Both Kamerion Wimbley (65) and Derrick Morgan (63) were on the field for a bunch of plays yesterday. Those guys have actually started playing really well.
Zach Brown saw his snaps come up from last week to 56. Part of that is because Will Witherspoon was out, but one thing I would recommend to Jerry Gray would be to leave the starting 11 together for more than a week so they can develop some continuity. That doesn't mean you should let guys play no matter how they play, but they haven't benched Griffin at any point, so it isn't like they are benching everyone who doesn't play well.
Jurrell Casey paced the defensive tackles with 59 snaps played followed by Sen'Derrick Marks at 50. Karl Klug got off of the snap count milk carton to play 21 snaps, but is still on the the playmaking milk carton. Mike Martin only saw 21 snaps for some odd reason.
Akeem Ayers suffered this biggest hit in PT. He was only in 36 snaps and forced a fumble that wasn't given to him and got called for a phantom hands to the face penalty- rough day.
Others receiving snaps:
-Ryan Mouton 44
-Robert Johnson 17
-Scott Solomon 13
-Coty Sensabaugh 6
-Al Afalava 4
-Pannel Egboh 4
-Tim Shaw 3
