As I type this post, and plan to have more on this later, Gramsey and I are having a conversation about why Jared Cook isn't on the field more, and why they don't do more things to get him the ball when he is on the field. That guy is a match-up problem for the defense on every play, and he was only on the field for 25 of the Titans 59 offensive plays yesterday. I don't understand that.
Mike Otto, Steve Hutchinson, Fernando Velasco and Matt Hasselbeck played all 59 offensive snaps. David Stewart missed one play with an injury. Byron Stingily replaced Stewart for that play. Leroy Harris also missed time with an injury and was replaced by Kevin Matthews. Did anyone notice a drop off? Yeah, me either.
Among the receivers, Kenny Britt was in on 38 plays. I am not sure, but that seems like a season high for him. Now they just need to start getting him the ball. Nate Washington, per usual, led the receivers in snaps played with 43. Kendall Wright played 30, Damian Williams played 17 and Lavelle Hawkins played 2- glad they gave that guy a new contract.
Quinn Johnson played the same amount of snaps as Cook. Let that sink in for a minute.
In others receiving snaps:
-Craig Stevens with 42 (that is a lot but I couldn't fit him in above)
-Taylor Thompson 16
-Jamie Harper 4 (4 too many)
-Darius Reynaud 2
