Shoulder Surgery Probably in Jake Locker's Future

Jake Locker doesn't need surgery right now, but a Nashville doctor says it is probably inevitable.

Jim Wyatt talked to Dr. Mike Pagnani, a Nashville shoulder doctor, and he thinks that it is just a matter of time before Locker's shoulder pops out again:

"Eventually the pain will go away," Pagnani said. "The risk is it’s going to happen again, and it’s probably just a matter of time before it does. He is going to go out there and he is going get hit wrong and it’s going to pop out again. And he’ll go through this same scenario where they pop it back in, and he’s going to be real sore for a week or two until he ultimately gets it fixed."

Pagnani also went on to say that he would let Locker go out there one more time and give it a go, but the next time it pops out he would advise surgery. That surgery would end Locker's season.

This is not the way they drew it up for Locker this season. My guess at this point is that he sits the next two games, but it sounds like it could just be a matter of time before he has to shut it down completely.
