I feel like I have written this article before, but it seems this is an issue that is creeping up again now that Jake Locker is hurt and Matt Hasselbeck is playing well. There is no reason for there to be the contention here over which quarterback should be playing. Both guys are quality players, and the Titans are in good hands no matter who is under center.
The fact is that Jake Locker is the starting quarterback for this team. Some people might not agree with that decision, but Mike Munchak has made it perfectly clear that Locker is his guy when healthy. That, however, does not mean that they do not feel perfectly comfortable with Hasselbeck under center. He played well against the Steelers.
Both guys have their pros and cons. There is no doubt that Hasselbeck doesn't have the arm strength to get the ball down the field like Locker does. That means there are more things available with Locker out there, but Chris Palmer should have no problem tailoring a game plan to fit Hasselbeck against the Bills.
Here is something I think we can all agree on- whichever guy is out there is a better option than Vince Young or Kerry Collins, and for that we should be thankful!
