Over the past few years the Tennessee Titans marketing department has started to grow their annual Code Blue event beyond gameday, and this week it'll be a full week of events, contests and light blue everything. (note from the editor: We're sure this has absolutely nothing to do with Denver being the only home game that hasn't sold out yet)
Jim Wyatt ran a copy of the TItans' press release here, but we have the highlights after the jump...
- Titans fans are encouraged to wear their Titans light blue gear all week long, and employers are encouraged to join in.
- T-Rac and the Titans Cheerleaders will host a special lighting ceremony tonight at LP Field, the culmination of which will LP Field and the nearby pedestrian bridge being illuminated in light blue lights. The lights will remain that way all week.
- Fans can register at facebook.com/titans for chances to win daily prized like autographed jerseys, non-autographed pizza, TV's, shoes and more.
- Special tailgating events, and a live TeewtUp in lot R at the stadium where fans can win prizes prior to Sunday's game.
I'm hoping we can get some pictures of the pedestrian bridge and LP Field lit up light blue tonight. That's going to look pretty damned cool. Code Blue games are always a blast, and the Titans could use that energy as they try to avenge one of our worst losses last season. The Broncos pissed a lot of us off with their comments at the end of that game, and now the time for payback has come.
