MCM Sunday Night Discussion: How Would You Cover the Cortland Finnegan Story?

It seems that in the past couple of year the Tennessee Titans have had a large number of story lines that divide the fanbase. I am not sure if there really are more with this franchise than any other, or if it just feels that way because I run this site, but it seems like we can't go more than a couple of months (even weeks sometimes) without a story that has people here arguing with each other.

That leads me to a question; If you were in charge of this site, how would you have covered yesterday's events surrounding Cortland Finnegan. I am interested in your answers.

Will it change the way I operate? Honestly, probably not. I run this site as a fan of the Titans. I am fans of individual players on the team, sure, but what I want more than anything else is for the Titans to win. Do I bring biases to the way I write about things? Sure, we all do, but I don't think anyone who has been here for any length of time thinks that I want anything other than for this team to win a Super Bowl.

This is a fansite. I know that the word "fansite" has some negative connotations in some circles, but I think that is what makes the site so cool. I don't have to toe the line of objectivity because that isn't what this site is about. I react to things the way I want to react to them, but all the while reacting as a fan of this team.

I hope that at the end of the day we can set aside the differences we have on this issue and come together to cheer on this team.

I don't care to give any more commentary on the Finnegan situation because I have made my position clear, but I did want to give my reasoning for why I do what I do and ask what you would do.
