The #Titans have inquired about free agent receiver Jerricho Cotchery, who was released by the Jets on Thursday.
Jim Wyatt just tweeted that the Tennessee Titans have inquired about former New York Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery. Wyatt followed up with a tweet saying that Cotchery's agent said his client is 100% and ready to go. You know what would be news? If an agent were to come out and say that he didn't think his client was in very good shape and wouldn't help any team. Now that would be news.
Cotchery is an intriguing guy, but only if he really is healthy.
I am even more intrigued after reading this paragraph:
A quick reminder: This was last November, Jets in Cleveland, overtime. New York at its own 37-yard line, facing third-and-9. Quarterback Mark Sanchez scrambles around in the pocket, escapes a near-sack and looks over the middle. He sees Cotchery limping through the hash marks, hopping on one leg. Cotchery had just pulled the groin muscle in his other leg, but keeps himself alive in the play. Sanchez points, directing his trusted receiver to an open area on the field. Cotchery responds, willing his body toward space. Then he leaps, hovering, fully extended and parallel to the ground, making the diving catch.
That is the kind of guy that I want on my team.
