The Titans are holding a public practice at LP Field on Saturday, and Munchak is using the opportunity as a dress rehearsal of an actual game for the rookies. Of course, it's also a chance for Munch to get used to being the head man on the sidelines, instead of just a position coach. The team will run halftime just like a real game, and the whole thing will be structured to give everyone a chance to see what works for this squad and what doesn't. The gates open at 1:00, and the concession stands will be open.
John Glennon (again) covers how the changes to the kickoff procedures will hurt Mariani and the Titans.
Paul K looks at our new WR coach,
thank god it's not still Fred Graves Dave Ragone. Ragone was an unexpected pick for the spot, but it's one that could work-out for the best if Palmer's hunch about the former QB is right.

RIP, Moses Hightower.
Today is the first day Matt Hasselbeck and can officially practice with the team, but the extra reps have been important for Jake Locker, Rusty Smith and Brett Ratliff. Recent history tells us that Hasselbeck will probably get hurt at some point in the season, and Locker and Smith need to be as ready as we can possibly get them.
Teresa Walker takes a look at Jerry Gray's plan to go for a bigger, simpler defensive look. It's getting rave reviews from Titans at all different stages of their careers; like Cortland Finnegan, Gerald McRath and Akeem Ayers. Gray is also focusing on cutting down our D's habit of jumping offsides every third play. I like a lot of what Gray is doing, but it's still going to take a hell of a coaching job to make this defense into a top 10 unit. It could happen, but I cna't let myself count on it.
Yesterday was a damned hot day to be practicing here in Nashville.
