WaPo profiles Tommie Campbell, who has been a janitor and high school teammate of Darrelle Revis before getting his own shot at the NFL dream with the Titans. Campbell has pretty astonishing measurements for a CB (6'3", 205 lbs. 4.31sec-40 yard), and hopefully his pick 6 on Saturday shows the kind of potential that gets him a roster spot.
John Glennon looks at the path of newly signed WR Kevin Curtis, who has gone from speedy WR who left college for a Mormon mission, to top-notch NFL WR, to Cancer survivor. Yeah, try rooting for pretty much anyone else over him now. We got a WR who can't line-up straight or catch a pass in the preseason? Yeah we also have one who beat testicular cancer and was running routes in the NFL regular season just a few months later.
Boclair says the Titans are struggling to score TDs in the preseason, resulting in a record setting dearth of points in the preseason:
For just the third time in 30 years, the Titans have failed to score at least 17 points in any of their first three tries. As they did against Chicago, they won with 14 in the opener against Minnesota and in between fell 17-16 to the St. Louis Rams.
I've said a lot of rude things about Bo Scaife over the past two years, but this is just terrible.
If we can't get Derrick Morgan healthy I'm going to lose it. We need all of the weapons we can muster along the defensive front, and Morgan is probably the best all-around pass rusher on the roster.
Kenny Britt is on track to play against the Saints on Thursday, which might be the only really good news coming out of BSP today.
Meh? Meh.
