Chester Taylor Cut By the Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears have released veteran running back Chester Taylor. Taylor is the odd man out after the Bears signed Marion Barber this offseason. Taylor's release has caused many to speculate on Twitter that he could be a guy the Titans bring in to hold a spot that will eventually be occupied by Chris Johnson.

Keep an eye on this one because it is a really bad sign if the Titans decided to sign Taylor. They are pleased with what they have behind CJ, so that means that if they signed Taylor he would probably just be on the roster until CJ's contract is worked out. They wouldn't want to bring him in if it looked like Johnson's deal was going to get done in the next week.

The veteran running back market is going to be weak, and sadly Taylor might be the best one available. He wasn't very good last year, 112 carries for 267 yards, but he doesn't have a lot of wear on his legs for his age. He has been in the league since 2002 and has only topped 200 carries once when he had 303 in 2006.
