Tennessee Titans Roster Cuts

The Tennessee Titans have already started making their roster cuts according to Terry McCormick. He is reporting that the team has released punter Chad Cunningham and long snapper John Stokes. Neither of these cuts come as a surprise because you knew that Brett Kern and Ken Amato have those spots locked up.

At least Cunningham will always have his run from Saturday night to remember.

Keep in mind that they have to cut the roster down to 80 tomorrow. The final cut to 53 will be done on Saturday.

I am going to take another shot at predicting the final 53 later today, but as a preview it looks like the tough spots to make predictions will be at linebacker and safety. There is quality depth at linebacker making the decisions tough, but that isn't necessarily the case at safety. It is going to be tough to decide who to keep at safety behind Chris Hope, Michael Griffin and Jordan Babineaux. They have to keep at least one more guy.

Stay tuned to the site throughout the day for the latest on all the Titans roster moves.

[UPDATE]- McCormick is now tweeting that LB Kevin Malast has also been cut.

[UPDATE #2]- Jim Wyatt is now reporting that the team has released DT Jovan Haye and S Nick Schommer.  Well, there is one guy that won't be in the mix at safety.

[UPDATE #3]- Wyatt saying QB Brett Ratliff, WR Owen Spencer and FB Patrick Hill have been cut.

[UPDATE#4]- Jonathan Cornell and Kevin Malast also gone per Wyatt.
