Bears vs. Titans: What to Watch for on Defense

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler has continued to get hammered this preseason, and I cannot wait to see the Tennessee Titans defense get after him on Saturday night. We should really worry about the defensive line if they can't get pressure against Cutler and his 15-step drops.

The D line will be playing shorthanded because Derrick Morgan and Jason Jones won't be playing because of injuries. The Titans really need both of those guys to be full strength for the regular season or it will be another weak defensive line year.

The Bears added Marion Barber in the offseason to compliment Matt Forte, who actually ended up having a really good year last year. Forte is a really good receiver out of the backfield, so we will get to see if this linebacker group is any better against the pass. It is a good thing that Barrett Ruud will be able to play this week.

Cutler does have a receiving group that can get stretch the field if he has time to throw. The secondary will face a good challenge defending guys like Johnny Knox, Devin Hester and Roy Williams. Hopefully the safeties learned their lesson last week and won't let those guys get behind them.
