Jason Jones was hoping to use this preseason to make his new DE spot his home, but his injury has limited his ability to get used to the new position. Jones is hopeful that it won't be a huge setback in his transition, and it's worth noting that he played on the end back at Eastern Michigan. Also, Jones will still be sliding inside on pass rush downs, so it's really only a part-time change.
The Titans who got to know Kerry Collins well say they aren't surprised to hear that he's come out of retirement so soon after announcing it. Collins signed a one-year, $4 million contract.
