No Progress Made Today Between the Tennessee Titans and Chris Johnson

No progress made between Chris Johnson and the Titans today. Sides remain very far apart. No plans for a future face-to-face meeting for nowless than a minute ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® Favorite Retweet Reply

So Jason La Canfora is reporting that the Tennessee Titans and Chris Johnson currently have no plans for a future face to face meeting. I am not really all that concerned about the negotiations going South until I see a tweet, because that is where all news comes from, that Chris Johnson is on a plane about to head back to Orlando. It wasn't like they were going to resolve all of their differences in one meeting, but the clock is ticking.

Here is a statement from Mike Reinfeldt:

"We had a meeting today with myself, Vin Marino [Titans VP Football Administration], Chris Johnson and Joel Segal. It was important for us to have a face-to-face meeting so that everyone could have a voice and understand the perspective of the other side.

I’m not sure there was any progress made, but I do think it was beneficial to meet. We were able to discuss several different elements of a potential contract, but there was no agreement on those topics.

"I do expect to have another conversation with Joel in the next day or so to discuss things further."
