CK2K has done as Reinfeldt wanted and landed in town to kiss the ring. Now we'll see just how far apart the two sides are. I believe the CJ's agent, Joel Segal, has been in preliminary talks with Reinfeldt over the past week, and the reason CJ finally made the trip is that the two sides have a better idea of what the final number is going to be now that Fitzgerald's deal is done. I can't see the Titans matching Fitzy's enormous contract, but the final number will probably land in the middle of that number and the highest paid RB. If Reinfeldt can get the league's best running back to agree to a 5 or 6 year deal with $35-$38 million guaranteed and a heavy team-option in each of the final two years it'll be a win win win. The total possible salary can be whatever number makes CJ happen, since nobody ever sees all of that money.
Paul K expects the Titans to make an offer today, no matter how far apart the two sides are.
Jim Wyatt takes a look at the non-RB questions facing the Titans now that camp is over, including the disarray in the WR depth chart, injuries along the D-line and who will start opposite Cortland Finnegan.

How big is the CJ negotiation nationally? NFLN is sending Albert Breer to cover the situation live from Nashville, which hasn't happened since Randy Moss came to town for the unofficial beginning of his retirement process.
Breaking news: Britt is not Pacman.
Joey Baskerville joined the growing rank of Fantasy players who are passing on Chris Johnson, which is awesome news if you've got a mid-first round pick like I had in the MCM draft, and the best RB in the league falls to you.

MCM is sending all of the well-wishes and good vibes we can muster to Pat Summitt. She's been a legend in Tennessee since before I was born, and you'd be hard pressed to find a more universally respected leader than Summitt. Her diagnosis is heart-breaking, but one thing you can count on is that she'll handle it with grace and strength. I've been a UT-hater for decades now, but I'm a Lady Vol's fan for this season.
