Titans Training Camp Report; The Hawk Returns, Kenny Britt Sits

New, comments

Lavelle Hawkins has been excused from practice for the last couple of days because of the death of a childhood friend. There was much cawing and and flapping on his return to the field day according to Jim Wyatt.

Kenny Britt did not practice today after doing too much yesterday. I am not encouraged by the pace at which Britt's leg is healing, but he still has a couple of weeks to get it right before the games count.

Britt obviously won't play against the St. Louis Rams on Saturday night, and neither will Javon Ringer or Barrett Ruud, which isn't surprising because neither of them have practiced all week.

The Titans hosted members of the 101st Airborne at practice today. Here is what Mike Munchak had to say about having the soldiers out there:

I think it’s great for everyone. The soldiers had a chance to talk to the players before we came out and they just kind of got away from everything for the day. I obviously wish we had a more exciting practice. I think the players really enjoyed it that they (soldiers) were here to watch, and I wish we did something like this more often.
