Jason La Canfora of NFL.com has posted the remaining salary cap space for each of the 32 NFL teams, and he reports that the Tennessee Titans have about $6 million in remaining cap space ($6,742,421.00 to be exact). That is significant information as it results to the Chris Johnson holdout because it means the Titans would have to make some pretty significant moves in order to give CJ a contract that would pay him $13 million a year, which is what is rumored that he wants.
They can obviously re-structure some deals, but they don't have a lot of wiggle room unless they decide to cut Chris Hope who has a $6 million cap number, and I don't think they are going to cut him.
The other guys that could give them at least a little bit of money are Jovan Haye and Justin Gage who are both due about $3 million in base salary in 2011.
This should also clear up the stupid thing that is out there about the Titans being cheap. Look at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who still have almost $30 million in cap space. They could give CJ2K all the money he wants, and that would also reunite him with gramsey's favorite player.
