You have probably heard by now that the 8th circuit court of appeals has ruled this morning that the lockout imposed by NFL owners is legal. Everyone knew this was going to happen after they lifted the temporary one-day stay of the lockout back in April. The timing of the ruling isn't ideal as it seems the two sides have been making strides, but I doubt it really makes any huge difference because it was the decision that was expected.

Again, I have tried to keep the lockout talk to a minimum here because 1. it is depressing and 2. all of the reports are really meaningless because no one has any idea what is going on in the negotiation meetings. I am still holding out hope that the two sides aren't dumb enough to let this get to the point that regular season football games are missed.

Here is the actual legal document from the decision if you are really bored.
