Washington Redskins Trade Albert Haynesworth to the New England Patriots

Bill Belichick might have just done it again. Adam Sechefter is reporting that the Washington Redskins have agreed to send Albert Haynesworth to the New England Patriots for a 5th round pick. I still can't understand why anyone would ever make a trade with Patriots. It never ends well for the other team.

We obviously know the story on Haynesworth. He is the best defensive tackle, and maybe the most disruptive defender in the entire NFL, when he wants to be. The when he wants to be part has been the trouble throughout his career. That is what kept the Tennessee Titans from giving him money two years ago, and what kept his career in Washington from ever amounting to anything.

My money was on the Skins releasing Haynesworth and him ending up in Philadelphia with Jim Washburn.

Belichick has a history of making these things work, so don't be surprised if Fat Albert turns in another All-Pro season in 2011.
