It has been widely speculated that whenever this lockout was over teams would have a window to exclusively negotiate with guys from their own roster that were about to be unrestricted free agents. Now it appears that will not be the case. I am not sure if that is because of the timing or not, but speculation now is the Titans will be negotiating against the rest of the league for guys like Jason Babin and Stephen Tulloch.
To be honest, I am not sure if this really makes a difference or not. Guys that are this close to free agency have a pretty good idea for what they are worth on the open market, and it isn't like they were going to be willing to take a discount to stay with the Titans.
I haven't posted any of the 4,000 timelines that are floating out there for what happens when the lockout ends because they are all speculation at this point. I will update the site as soon as we get an official schedule.
