We have all seen the impact a good pass rusher can have on a defense. Derrick Morgan was showing signs of being just that impact pass rusher when his season ended last season in the week 4 game against the Denver Broncos.
Luckily for the Morgan and the Titans, the injury happened early enough that his knee should be really close to 100% when camp opens in a couple of weeks (fingers crossed). He fits the mold of the defensive end that Jerry Gray wants. He isn't just a pass rusher. He was very good against the run in college and was easily the most complete DE in the 2009 draft.
Morgan is also going to need to replace the production of Jason Babin from 2010 because the chance is pretty high that Babin is going to walk in free agency. I don't think Morgan will have any problem matching Babin's production, and he will be better against the run.
