Jonathan Hutton just tweeted that the Tennessee Titans will open their 2011 training camp on August 1st if all goes according to plan with the CBA. My understanding is that "all going according to plan" means that something is in place by the beginning of next week. I am still holding out hope that the scenario where free agency opens Monday is what ends up happening, but there is no guarantee it will be that quick until it is official.
I guess a day or two later isn't that big of a deal considering the scenarios that we had to consider early in the offseason, but it sure would be nice if they would go ahead and officially agree to terms so we can cram 5 months of offseason into 2 weeks. The end of July is sure going to be a lot more exciting in the NFL than normal.
One thing is for sure- it is going to be a fun ride.
