SB Nation Bloggers Mock Update

I didn't post a recap of yesterday's picks, so this will be a two for one update.

The Indianapolis Colts had the 22nd pick and selected Anthony Castonzo, OT, Boston College. The Colts offensive line was terrible last season so it makes sense that they would take an offensive tackle with this pick.

The Philadelphia Eagles, represented by Jason Brewer of Bleeding Green Nation, had the 23rd pick and selected Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado. Smith has the talent to be a shutdown corner in the NFL, but he is plummeting down draft boards because of character concerns. The Eagles are getting a steal here if they can keep him out of trouble.

The New Orleans Saints, represented by Dave Cariello of Canal Street Chronicles, had the 24th pick and selected Muhammad Wilkerson, DT, Temple. Wilkerson waived to Smith as he was going the opposite was on draft boards. Mel Kiper and Todd McShay both think he will be off the board long before the Saints pick.

The Seattle Seahakws, represented by Dan Kelly of Field Gulls, had the 25th pick and selected Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas. The best thing about this pick is that he doesn't fall to the Titans.

The Baltimore Ravens (BOO!), represented by Bruce Raffel of Baltimore Beatdown, had the 26th pick and selected Aldon Smith, DE, Missouri. The Ravens defense wasn't as good last year as it has been in the past so this pick makes sense.

The Atlanta Falcons, represented by Dave Choate of The Falcoholic, had the 27th pick and selected Justin Houston, DE, UGA. The Falcons need a pass rusher and Houston is the best one left on the board. Win, win, win.
