The writers over at National Football Post put out their first consensus mock draft this morning, and shockingly they have the Tennessee Titans taking Auburn DT Nick Fairley. Last year looking at mock drafts was fun because everyone had the Titans taking someone different- of course it is important to keep in mind that pretty much all of them had Derrick Morgan off the board long before the Titans picked. In the end, mock drafts mean nothing, but I do think it is fairly obvious that Fairley's stock is falling.
Here is what they had to say about the pick:
Fairley slips on draft day due to some character issues, but the Titans get the talent they want on the D-Line at No. 8.
Something interesting to note, at the end of the first round they had the Vikings trading with the Patriots to get back into the first round with the Patriots to take Jake Locker. August mentioned on MCM Radio yesterday that he thought that 28th pick would be a good place for teams to try and move up because it is the Pats second first round pick. The Titans might have to be willing to do that if they want to get one of the guys in the second tier of QBs.
