The guys at the National Football Post have put out a three round mock draft today. It is my favorite mock draft I have seen in all of the draft season. They have the Titans taking Alabama WR Julio Jones in the first round, TCU QB Andy Dalton in the second round and North Carolina LB Quan Sturdivant in the third round.
I think you would have to agree that this is best scenario for the Titans. Jones makes the offense better from day one and would give them a legitimate thread opposite Kenny Britt. That means you could bring in a guy like Matt Hasselbeck, and you might be giving up 28 points a game because the defense isn't going to be very good, but you would also be scoring close to 28 a game.
Andy Dalton is a favorite of a lot of people here, and in this scenario you get to pick him without having to give up any future picks. He probably isn't ready to go from day 1 so he would sit behind the veteran and learn for a year or two.
Sturdivant (scouting reports here and here) would be a solid pick-up in the third round who could come in and push for a job from day one. At 241 he would give the Titans some of the size they said they wanted to add at yesterday's press conference.
