Tennessee_titans_30x21 Jim Wyatt covers Cam Newton's pro day, which was attended by Reinfeldt's main personnel guy Ruston Webster, along with Titans OC Chris Palmer and scout Cole Proctor. Quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains and scouting director Blake Beddingfield attended the Arkansas pro day to watch Ryan Mallett.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Terry McCormick has a report from Mallett's workout and draft stock behind the paywall. Word is Mallett was very impressive, and the character concerns that teams have are starting to sound more like a Jay Cutler/Ben Roethlisberger kind of demeanor issues than Ryan Leaf craziness. McCormick also notes that, as a thrower, Mallett fits what Palmer has traditionally preferred more than just about anyone else in the draft this year. Still, unless they can really do some digging and eliminate concern over Mallett's demeanor (and the drug rumors), I can't see any way Thorchak begins his tenure as head coach with a player of questionable (at best) character.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Jmac1383 points us towards this NFL.com article on the biggest busts in the history of the Panthers franchise, which is led by one Kerry Collins.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Former Titans reserve O-lineman Daniel Loper re-signed with the Raiders. Loper was a key back-up for a few years here before heading to Detroit with Jim Schwartz. He registered four starts at guard for the Raiders last season.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 As if Kareem Jackson's play in the secondary of the Texans last year wasn't embarrassing enough, he decided to attend a cock fight while on vacation in the Dominican Republic and post pictures and commentary online. Cockfighting isn't illegal in the Dominican Republic, but neither is hash in Amsterdam and I wouldn't advise players to post pictures of their favorite buds. It's still a morally repugnant 'event' that I wouldn't attend without rotten fruit to throw at everyone in attendance, but it's not like Jackson did anything illegal. Of course, he could have assuaged Texans fans by saying he just wanted take some notes on competing with passion, since he sure wasn't learning that on the Texans' defense last year.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 The Titans were among several teams wowed by Kearse at a workout yesterday, but thankfully this one was Frank Kearse of Alabama A&M. I'm going to guess this Kearse didn't hop in the Benz and bounce before the workout was over...
