7 day extension confirmed. Talks through next Friday at 5 pm. Mediation likely to continue Monday.
Adam Schefter is reporting that the NFL and the NFLPA have agreed to a 7 day extension for the CBA talks to continue. This is another sign of hope that the two sides are getting closer and hopefully will be able to get a deal done to avoid a lockout. Apparently the mediation process that the two sides have been going through has done a lot of good.
I really hope they can get the deal done next week so that there will be a free agency period before the draft. That would allow the Titans to have a shot at some of the quarterbacks that will be available. If they can get a guy they feel comfortable going with in 2011, it will make them less likely to reach for a QB with the eighth pick.
One guy the Titans apparently won't have a shot at is SuperHorn's boy Seneca Wallace. He has agreed to a 3-year extension with the Browns.
