Chad Reuter Mock Draft: Fairley in the First; Locker in the Second

Chad Reuter of CBSSports.com has a new mock draft out that is pretty interesting.  He has the Tennessee Titans picking Auburn DT Nick Fairley in the first and Washington QB Jake Locker in the second.  That mock only has 2 quarterbacks going in the first round with both in the top seven (Cam Newton to Carolina first and Blaine Gabbert to San Francisco seventh).  He has Christian Ponder going to Buffalo at 34 and Ryan Mallett going to Cincinnati at 35.

It is pretty crazy that it is conceivable that Locker could be the 5th QB off the board when he would have in the mix for the first player picked overall last season.

Reuter's comments about the Titans picks after the jump.

8. Tennessee Titans

Nick Fairley, DT, Auburn: Fairley's pro day just accentuated his athleticism, and he gained back some of the weight he lost to run faster at the combine. His length and power perfectly fits the Titans' ideal for defensive tackles.

39. Tennessee Titans

Jake Locker, QB, Washington: Remember when Jimmy Clausen fell into the second round last year? Locker's inconsistency could cause the same to happen to him.
