I am really excited about this game, as long as the Packers win. I just cannot stand to see the Steelers take home another title simply because it would make their fans even more insufferable than they already are, if that is even possible. Plus, as I have said before, I really cannot stand how Ben Roethlisberger has gotten off of the hook for being a terrible person just because the Steelers are in the Super Bowl.
Even if you don't care about the game at all you have to tune in for the commercials. They have been a little weak the last couple of years, but it is always interesting to see what these companies come up with when they are pouring millions of dollars into a 30 second spot.
There is a sad element to Super Bowl Sunday though because it is officially the end of football season and starts a long period of waiting before we get to watch football again, and it could be even longer this year with the impending labor strife. I still don't believe we will see any stoppage that spills into the season because both sides will realize how foolish they would be to kill the momentum the NFL has built in the last decade.
Anyway, discuss the game and the commercials here. Hopefully we will have a coaching announcement tomorrow.
