A while back I wondered to myself if there was anything that could make me not be a Titans fan anymore. At the time I couldn't come up with anything, but today I found it. Jim Wyatt asked Brian Billick if he was expecting a call from the Titans. Here was his arrogant answer:
"Plus, they seem focused on going the assistant coach route. This game goes in cycles, and the trend is to go young and cheap. And I’m neither."
Yes, that is why you don't have a job Brian. It is only because you were such a good coach that you have simply priced yourself out of the market. It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that you were dubbed an "offensive genius" while with the Minnesota Vikings and Randy Moss, but when you got to Baltimore you couldn't figure out how to run even a little offense. Had you not walked in on one of the greatest defenses of all-time you would have been fired a long, long time before you were. Yep, has nothing to do with any of that.
There are a lot of ways this coaching search could go that would make me upset, but there is only one name that would make me no longer be a fan of the team. Brian Billick.
Good to know Billick isn't expecting a call from the Titans. I doubt he ever gets a call from any team in the NFL.
