2011 MCM Mock Draft - Pick #28

With the 28th pick of the 2011 Music City Miracles Mock Draft, the New England Patriots (represented by nolesbroncos3456) select:

Sam Acho, DE/OLB, Texas

From nolesbroncos3456:

The Patriots selected Sam Acho because of the glaring need for pass rushers and he was the BPA hybrid at the moment. SA isn't as hyped up as a Houston or Aldon Smith because of the great Texas DE lineage he
had to follow in current Redskins DE Brian Orakpo and Ravens DE Sergio Kindle. Acho really helped himself during the Senior Bowl practices and the game, getting a sack of Jake Locker (he beat the much heralded
OT Nate Solder in the process), 2 TFLs, and a FF. SA has a quick first step, constantly high motor, and is always around to make the right play. He also can stand to refine his pass rush moves and skills some
but that's coachable thing. Acho has no character concerns as he has won numerous off the field awards for academics and public service. Sam will team up w/ 17th pick Cameron Jordan to add to an already
young and formidable front 7 for us. Also like Jordan, he can play in a 4-3 or 3-4, versatility is the name of the game in New England. His final college stats: 136 Tackles, 37 TFLs, 23.5 sacks, 6 FFs, and 10 FRs.
