The #Titans will introduce new defensive coordinator Jerry Gray to the media today at 2 pm CT at Baptist Sports Park
The Tennessee Titans have announced that there will be a press conference at 2 PM this afternoon to introduce Jerry Gray as the team's defensive coordinator. I haven't seen yet if anyone will be carrying the presser live, but if they are I will let you know as soon as I find out.
I am excited to hear what Gray has to say this afternoon. Will he play a style similar to Gregg Williams who he coach under for a number of years? Will he play a style similar to what the Titans have played since Williams left? I expect that we will get some vague answers to those questions today. Gray no doubt has some ideas of what he will want to do, but he will need some time evaluating the talent he has on the defensive side of the ball before he can actually decide what to do.
I also wonder if he will get into any staff conversations today. The Titans currently have Dave McGinnis as linebackers coach, Marcus Robertson as secondary coach and Tim Hauck as assistant secondary coach. It will be interesting to see what he does with those guys, and who he and Mike Munchak decide to bring in to fill the open spots.
[UPDATE]- 104.5 The Zone will carry the presser live.
