Bears Deny Titans Request To Interview Mike Tice For Offensive Coordinator

#Titans faxed request to interview Mike Tice for O-coordinator job today. #Bears denied it. less than a minute ago via txt

There you have it. This is the second interview request for offensive coordinator by the Titans turned down, the first being Bill Callahan of the Jets.

I'm actually fine about this. Mike Tice did not seem very desirable to me as an offensive coordinator. His offensive line, though they improved as the season went on, allowed the most sacks in the league with 56. Any OL coach who allows the most sacks in the league does not deserve a promotion. Also he had never been an offensive coordinator before.

Reports say Packers QB coach Tom Clements remains a candidate for the job.
