Jerry Gray Still in Nashville; Tracy Rocker in the Mix for Titans Defensive Line Coach

Jerry Gray still in Tenn for 2nd day, interviewing for D coordinator position. Auburn DL coach Tracy Rocker a candidate for Titan DL jobless than a minute ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®

I think it is pretty safe to say that Jerry Gray is going to be the Titans defensive coordinator. If he weren't really interested in the job he probably would have already headed back to Texas.

La Canfora is also reporting that the Titans are interested in Auburn's defensive line coach Tracy Rocker. Rocker has been the defensive line coach at Auburn for the past two years. Before that he bounced around with a lot of different teams in the same position.

Rocker was an outstanding defensive tackle at Auburn where he won both the Outland Trophy and the Lombardi Award in 1988. He was a third round draft pick of the Washington Redskins in 1989.

I don't really know anything about Rocker, but it appears he has had some good success at the college level. This is the first guy that has been mentioned as a candidate to join Mike Munchak's staff that doesn't have some type of tie to the Oilers.
